Naturopathic Doctors (ND's) are trained professionals who use a combination of conventional and alternative therapies to promote wellness and support the body's natural healing processes.

A naturopathic appointment will start with your ND learning what your symptoms, complaints, and goals are. They will then design a customized treatment plan to help you achieve those goals. Lab testing is an essential part of many naturopathic treatment protocols, so gathering bloodwork and lab analyses can be the key to the diagnosis of a condition. In your session together, and based on your goals and findings, you may discuss nutrition, herbal medicine, mindfulness, and lifestyle coaching. Your Naturopath may use bodywork in their sessions, such as Massage Therapy, Cupping, Acupuncture and/or Bowen Therapy.

Welcome! I’m Kaitlin, a Registered Physiotherapist and Pelvic Health Practitioner. If you are looking for a different approach to addressing your symptoms, you’ve come to the right place!

Your body is like a symphony. It’s a collection of instruments that must work in balance with one another to produce a beautiful harmony. If one instrument is off key or the conductor is inept, there is no harmony in the symphony.

In the body, the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves) is the conductor, and the instruments are the different systems (e.g. nervous, digestive, lymphatic, etc.). The conductor and the systems need to be in balance for you to feel good. If there is an imbalance in the system, it can show up anywhere in the body. It may be expressed as low back pain, neck pain, headaches, brain fog, depression, anxiety, digestive issues, or any number of other symptoms.

To address your symptom(s), we need to take a more holistic approach and address the systems of the body. The systems I explore and either directly or indirectly treat are: - The nervous system - The lymphatic system - The circulatory/blood system - The digestive system - The endocrine/hormonal system - The organs - The muscular system - The fascial system - The joints

This approach is different, however, in the 9 years I have been practicing as a physiotherapist, this is the most effective approach I have found to help people manage and resolve both acute and chronic issues. I often collaborate with other practitioners on the For Health’s Sake team (e.g. massage therapist, acupuncturist, psychotherapist, and chiropractor) to get you back to the things you love as quickly as possible.

Albert Einstein said it best, “insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”. It’s time to try something different!

With over 12 years of clinical experience, I have seen and understood how beneficial treatment can be. Body-work can make such a difference in how people can feel and how their body can move. I believe your body is capable of extraordinary things, but sometimes it needs a little help to get there.

After obtaining both an undergraduate degree with honors in Kinesiology and an advanced degree in a chiropractic graduate program, I consider myself a student for life. Over the years I have continued to advance my education while paying attention to research that has shown the clinical effectiveness of various modalities for treating pain and dysfunction. My goal is to facilitate each patients’ return to optimal function as quickly and effectively as possible. My continued education and advanced certifications are something I pride myself in.

I incorporate various manual therapies and techniques such as joint mobilizations, soft tissue release, acupuncture, myofascial-decompression cupping, Fascial Stretch Techniques, exercise prescription and other electro modalities.

I take pride in having many tools in my tool box -my additional training in various modalities outside of adjusting allows me to individualize treatments, whether you need an adjustment or everything but an adjustment. I aim to provide the best possible treatment for each patient.

I have always had a long-standing passion for health and wellness. My journey in learning started in Philadelphia where I obtained a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training, while competing as a varsity volleyball athlete. From there, I obtained a Masters of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences over a four year, intensive program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Throughout my studies of the structural body, I was very drawn to the energetic components to healing; which led me to complete my reiki training to Reiki Master Healer level. Osteopathy has allowed me to understand the body in a completely different way by embracing the self-healing and self-regulating nature of the body. This is done by working with the soft tissue structures to alleviate restriction of motion, which ultimately improves nerve communication, blood and lymphatic circulation. This principle assists in getting to the root cause of one’s dis-ease, and provides the ability to address a wide range of conditions, from acute to chronic. Both osteopathic manual therapy and reiki combined allow me to see the mechanics of the structural and energetic bodies that provide a complete and holistic approach to healing. My experience in study and athletic competition allow my treatments to be rooted in a sense of compassion, caring and understanding. Outside of my practice, you can find me enjoying time outside with my dog, travelling, or up North at the lake with family and friends!

I dreamed of becoming a doctor to help others, but it wasn’t until my mother’s breast cancer diagnosis that I discovered Naturopathic Medicine. This approach values treating the whole person and finding the root cause of conditions to guide patients through the self-healing process. Through Naturopathic Medicine, I learned to prioritize the unique needs of each individual patient, rather than just focusing on the treatment of their symptoms.

My mission as a Naturopath is to help assist and to see my patients make empowered choices that improve both their health and their quality of life. In order to do this, I partner with patients and dive deeper into their health to help identify and remove barriers to wellness. I provide patients with recommendations that we are both confident they can adhere to. I am here to not only guide and educate you, but to inspire you through this exciting journey of reconnecting to yourself.

Hello! I’m Leisha, a Registered Acupuncturist, Movement Therapist and Holistic Mind-Body practitioner who believes that with the right support and care, anyone is able to not only regain health and vitality, but thrive. Through the use of acupuncture (both Traditional Chinese Medicine & Esoteric), gentle body work (tuina & craniosacral therapy), yoga, meditation and mindset work, I help your body, mind and soul fully relax as you are gently nudged into harmonious balance so that your body can do what it does best – heal itself. You’ll leave feeling peaceful yet vibrant, empowered and with a strong connection to your centre, while being fully supported on your journey to wellness.

My wellness journey started 16 years ago when I tried yoga on a whim and fell in love. I quickly noticed a multitude of positive changes in my life such as an increased ability to focus, greater awareness and appreciation for my body and an overall happier, more energized disposition, which ultimately inspired me to become a yoga teacher so I could share these gifts with the world.

Yoga opened up a whole new world for me, where I started learning about spirituality and Eastern healing traditions. Upon learning about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I quickly realized how much it resonated with my beliefs about the human body and its ability to heal itself under the right conditions. This, coupled with some transformational acupuncture treatments I received, inspired me to delve deeper into TCM, become an Acupuncturist and help facilitate healing and joy in my community. I especially love treating psychoemotional issues and the many physical problems they cause. I also treat other issues such as digestion, gynecology, pain and everything in between.

Through open communication, thoughtful listening, and patient education, we can develop a personalized treatment plan to get you back to doing the things you love. It is my personal goal to motivate you during this process and ensure you get the most out of every session. I have always been fascinated by the human body and how we function. Coupling that with a desire to help others is what made massage therapy a natural career choice for me. I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Centennial College in 2000. After all these years of practice, I am still passionate about what I do.

Back when I was studying kinesiology I had a friend complaining of headaches during our midterm exams. After a neck massage, their pain was gone and they joked that I should make this my career. It was shortly after this that I left mid-program to set myself on the path to Massage Therapy.

My massage treatments incorporate Swedish Massage with deep tissue techniques and trigger point therapy. I have done additional training in Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, as well as Pre and Post-natal massage. I am also certified in Lymphatic Drainage.

Hi, I’m Katie! RMT and Co-Founder of For Health’s Sake! I grew up in a small beach town in Southern Ontario before moving to Toronto to start school and later my career. I always knew from a young age that I wanted to help people and work in health & wellness. I explored the Massage Therapy industry by practicing in different environments before I found my passion in multi-disciplinary clinics.

Having worked many years in various clinics, I gained experience by treating a variety of clients, from the injured athlete to the office worker. I tailor the treatment by assessing client symptoms, posture, and pain patterns. In addition to treating an injured area or area of pain or discomfort, I look at the entire body as a whole and treat other areas that have been affected by compensating.

My treatment style consists mostly of swedish techniques, deep tissue, passive stretching, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and cupping. I modify the pressure to my clients’ preference and I also offer aromatherapy treatments where I integrate essential oils within the massage to amplify the experience. Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage is my newest passion and addition to my services. I was trained in the Renata Franca method that came straight from Brazil.

I started For Health’s Sake with my business partner, Chloe, in 2018. I split my time as an RMT between both our clinics, and outside of that, I work from home managing them. I love everything health & fitness and I’ve always been very active. I love coffee, travelling, cooking, interior decorating, hanging out with my dog, and trying new food places.

Life is a multi-faceted journey involving events, experiences, and relationships that can be challenging to navigate at times. My goal is to work in partnership with you to create a safe, non-judgemental, and collaborative space to help you explore your goals, foster emotional growth, and support the changes that are important to you.

I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have received adept training from some of the top clinicians in mental health, therapeutic interventions, and critical social work – so I bring a thoughtful and sharp-minded understanding to the issues that my clients share.

I am committed to supporting your diverse needs, and believe that people are experts in their own lives and possess within them, the strength and capacity for healing and growth. Some of the areas I address in my practice include depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, substance use, behavioural issues, concurrent addiction and mental health challenges, stress management, and issues impacting clients from racialized communities.

I use a strengths-based, integrative approach informed by anti-oppressive practice and trauma-informed models, as well as attachment and developmental theories. My therapeutic style is client-centred and honours your culture, your spiritual beliefs, and all held identities. I utilize different therapeutic techniques and modalities including cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing to support the needs of my clients.

My hope is that you will feel heard and supported in your experiences, and that our work together will empower you in the present, and on your way forward.
